Very competitive pay
-
All referees, regardless of experience or level, will make $50-$75 as an Assistant Referee and $100-$150 as a Center Referee. Exact rates are determined by the level of game refereed (senior men’s/women’s rugby pays more than youth rugby)
-
Referees are reimbursed for mileage to matches >50 return miles from the referees home.
The RMRR will also provide credits towards the purchase of new kit, with special deals to help get new referees started for as little out-of-pocket expense as possible.
-
RMRR uses a referee level system, based on a refs experience and skills—from complete beginners to lifelong experts.
Levels determine which rugby matches refs can officiate. With ongoing coaching and support, referees can advance up the levels as their skills, fitness, and game knowledge grows.
-
RMRR uses RefUp.io as a bidding system where refs use virtual credits to bid on matches. A referee’s level determines which matches they can bid on, and popular matches bring more competition.
The highest bidder wins the match, allowing refs to officiate as few or as many games as they want—up to 4 or 5 a weekend with some luck and active bidding.
Referees are given new credits every month, so if you use them all on matches, you don’t have to wait too long before you can ref some more!
