Uncontested Scrums
When a team does not have suitably skilled front-row players the referee will order uncontested scrums. On all occasions of uncontested scrums:
If you have front row players available that are not skilled in that position, they must still be used in the front row of the uncontested scrum.
The referee may decide to go to uncontested scrums for safety reasons as a team that does not have suitably skilled players.
The team that is the cause of uncontested scrums plays with the following number of players:
Injured front-row player = 14
Yellow card front-row player = 13 (remove another player selected by the captain/coach)
Red card = 13 (remove another player selected by the captain/coach)
Foul play injury to a front-row player = 15
Front-row player blood bin = 15
